Crepes #A-Spice-A-Day#18

My daughter is really good in making crepes.  She watches Giada on TV all the time and I can say that she learns a lot since she  tries some of them and it does turn out really well.  Heck, I can't even  make crepes lol.

When she first learned how to make it, we only  eat it plain but she  made a twist one day and  made an apple filling.  She cooked the apple with butter, cinnamon and some honey.  It was really good.

I can't believe that my 8 year old can pull this off.  When I was 8, I can only cook rice and  vegetable (gulay with gata and some spice) but my  little chef is making more than what I could make at her age.  Pardon me for  bragging but I  am just  so happy of what my little one can accomplish.

So for Moms out there,  don't be afraid to let your kids explore in the kitchen.  Let your kids help every time they want to.  With your guide and help, they will learn a lot!

A Spice A Day #18
January 18, 2014

  • We took the kids to the mall.  We dropped by at Hobby Lobby and it was like a paradise for my crafty little girl.  We bought our son some  uniform pants because the ones he's using now are getting smaller.  We also bought a present for a friend's son who turned 1 today.
  • I made some corned beef and rice for dinner.
  • We attended Nathan's birthday.

My 6 year old loves helping in the kitchen however I would never allow her to turn the stove on lol we joke and keep the 19 year old away from the stove. good job to your kido. I guess if you show them young and get them to watch cooking shows they can pick up on things. how awesome. I'm going to give my 6 year old a try she did like watching master cheif jr.
