Kitchen Sink Caddy by @JosephJoseph

I don't know if it's an obsession but I love the color green in my kitchen.  In my personal opinion, color green adds some freshness to the kitchen that is why when getting some kitchen gadget, I love green.
Our new home  does not have a  big kitchen so my goal is to have  kitchen accessories that are space savers and  has  multiple functionality.  This  large  kitchen sink caddy can  fit all your dishes  stuff like the sponges, wash cloths, dish washing liquid/soap, and cleaning kitchen brush.
The green parts of this caddy is detachable.  You can take it apart when you want to clean it.  I love that the bottom part has the drainage on it so if you are putting a bar soap, it will dry up.
You can tell how fond I am with Joseph Joseph as I have several items from them like the cutting board  set and the self-draining dish rack.  I love the  practicality of the design of every products.  So if you have a tight space in your kitchen, check them out as they have plenty of selection for cleaning, storage, and cooking.
Joseph Joseph really do have  so many  kitchen gadgets and tools that I love including their bake ware and storage products.

Crisp.. Buttery.. Delicious #GlutenFree Crispy Cookie Thins and More

The last few weeks is  so busy for me because of the packing for the move, then unpacking after the move, it is c-r-a-y-y-y-zeee!!!  The first week after the  move was challenging to regularly serve  home cooked meals in the tabke.  We did some trips  to the food chains e but glad that it is now coming back to normal.  I am also grateful that there are healthy snacks the kids can  eat while I am so busy trying to put things in order at our new home.  Thanks to Glutino for these  gluten-free goodies.
I made these  cornbread muffins to go with the 15 Bean soup that I made.  This is really good.  You can eat it like as snack or you can eat with soup!  I love that Glutino's mixes are very simple and easy to make.
My daughter always  go for the chocolate  cookies first.  I love that there is  new product this time, the crispy cookie thins.
Anything crispy and thin is a winner for me so these cookies are the bomb!  My husband love the chocolate flavored one but I love the  cranberry orange flavored ones.  They are a bit messy to eat but hey, it's OK because they are delicious!
One of my  favorite snacks from them are these bite-size  wafers especially the lemon flavored one, they are so good.  It keeps my tummy happy whenever I am working online or browsing  for recipes lol.  When you are a blogger, snack is your best friend lol.  At least, that works for me every time.
My son love, love, love these toaster pastries!  He loves to eat for breakfast or snacks in the afternoon.  He always asks for this when they are taking their lunches to school.  This serve as his  dessert.
Other things on the box this month that I also love includes  the double chocolate cake mix, the brownies, and their original bagel chips.  This is great for soup as well.
Also included in the box this month are free products coupons so I gave some to my  children's piano teacher so she can try them.  I really9 appreciate her coming to our house this summer for the lessons because  I get to continue  unpacking while they play piano.  I still have stuff to hang in our music corner but haven't got the chance to go around it.  One of these days, I will be able to finish everything.
If you have a family  or know someone with gluten intolerance, Glutino has everything you need.  They have a huge selection of gluten free products.

Cinnabon and Fresh Fruits on the Go #RoadtripSnacks

Whenever we are going on a road trip, I always make sure to pack cut up veggies and fruits for us to snack on.  This year is no difference.  We went to the store  the day before and bought some fruits then I cut them up and put them in our cooler bag.  It is economical that way  as the kids  doesn't ask to  stop by at a food chain to buy something to eat.

Watermelon and Kiwi are some of our favorite to bring.

My husband love cucumbers because it fills him up  and  keeps  his body  cool.

I also packed some apples for my son.  He love  green smith apples.  The little lady had  a special request, mangoes!
Of ll those snacks I prepared, my husband  love to  spoil the kids a little and  bought some cinnabon when we stop for some gas.  It was his birthday treat  for Ryestein and of course, the sweet tooth boy also had one.
I think cinabbon is overrated.  To me, it is just like regular cinnamon rolls but that is just me lol.
But, it made these kiddos very happy so it was worth the sugar treat.
We don't have cinabbon around here so it was  like a special treat for them.

On our way back home, we shopped at Foodlion and bought us some goodies to munch on.
Lots of water is also important when going on a roadtrip to make sure that we are all hydrated. It makes for frequent rest stop but it is important to take lots of fluid when traveling.

Keyboard

When we first moved in, we left our  piano at the other house because my husband and his friends couldn't  move it.  We hired a progessional piano  movers to do it.  So when the piano teacher came over to our new home to teach them lesson, they used the keyboard  temporarily.  Ours isn't one of the Casio keyboards but the kids love to use it  because it has so many cool features that our traditional piano does not have.

Bread Bin with Reversible Cutting Board Lid @JosephJoseph Rocks!

The  house that we bought  recently moved in  hasn't been updated  in 15 years so almost everything is outdated although  the former owner really  took good care of this home and   kept it in  pretty good shape.  Updating the floors was our first priority as it wasn't in great condition.  The kitchen cabinets and countertop  is need  to be updated  but that would be our future projects.  Home  renovations is  very expensive around here where we live.  Having said that, since we won't be able to upgrade the whole kitchen just yet, it is nice to have new things to use such as this bread bin  that I got from Joseph Joseph.

Joseph Joseph is one of the companies I love to work with because their products are highly innovative and very functional.  This stainless steel bread bin is so sleek that it  is sure to suit any kitchen even  our outdated  kitchen.  With this, it makes our kitchen a little more modern.  This comes with a high-quality wooden lid which I really love.
You can also use it as a chopping board for your newly baked or store-bought unsliced bread.  My daughter is already planning on  baking a loaf of bread just so she can experience cutting it on this   wooden  lid.
I love that it matches our  bread toaster  and our kitchen knives set.
My husband really liked it.  Him and our son are the ones who love bread in our family so they are  pretty thrilled to have this  new bread bin.
I can confidently leave the bread inside it without  worrying about  bugs or any crawlers to get in there because the lid seals it.
This bread bin sells for $75 at their website so if you are interested in purchasing one, you can just check them out through the link.  We have a  the old style  bread box here but I never used it because it is bulky so it takes a lot of space, with this one , you save space in the counter.
Now, I can't wait to  have newly baked bread.  It would smells  so good and you all know how good  fresh baked bread  tastes like right.  I wish I could bake bread more often.  Problem is, I am not a baker lol.  Anyway, thanks again Joseph Joseph for this one!  They have so many cool products for cooking, storage, cleaning,  and I am sure you would fall in love with their collection.

Thinking Of Becoming A Vegan? Here's What You Need To Know To Get Started

When it comes to changing your diet and lifestyle, you may wonder where to get started. Especially if you are thinking of becoming a vegan. A plant based diet has many benefits. You may decide to do it because of how you feel about animal welfare. Or maybe it’s because of health reasons and the benefits you can feel when changing your lifestyle. Whatever your motive and reasons may be, you are at this point where you want to change your diet. So how do you start? Well here’s a few pointers to set you on the right track.

Do your research and be aware of what you can eat

The first thing you need to be aware of is what kind of food you can eat on your new plant based diet. Especially if you are going from a diet which included many of the foods, you potentially cannot eat anymore. A plant based diet should be quite a simple thing to follow. But, there are other factors to consider. Raw and cooked vegetables are one way to start. There are many ways you can start things up. A good thing to remember is it might be worth keeping things out of sight so you are not tempted to lapse. What it is worth remembering is that there are plant-based alternatives. For some of the most well-loved condiments and ingredients. You can check out companies like Hampton Creek. If you want some inspiration for recipes, you can find it on Facebook here.

What is your motive for this lifestyle change?

Before you jump into a new diet, it is worth knowing what your end goal is. What is your motive for wanting to make this change? This will be vital to have in the forefront of your mind. Especially if you find yourself being tempted away from your choice, or struggling to keep things going. Your motive and end goal should be what motivates you to keep on going.

Set yourself realistic goals

While is amazing and so vital to have your end goal to keep you motivated. It’s easy to become disheartened when you can’t achieve it straight away. This is why it is essential to set yourself realistic goals. These tend to be smaller, and much easier to achieve on a quicker basis. This is a great way to keep yourself motivated to succeed and reach your end goal. This could be as simple as reducing your diet by taking certain foods away each week. Or it might be adding more vegetables to your main meals. You may even challenge yourself to try a new ingredient each week. However, you do it, keep in mind that small goals will always reach that big ambition in the end.

Find alternative recipes for some of your favorite foods

Sometimes you have those favorite meals that you just can’t imagine living without. That’s understandable. But thankfully you don’t have to worry anymore. These days you can find alternatives to all those much loved recipes. Social media like Pinterest and Youtube have many tutorials and recipe ideas. So you can turn some of those firm favorites into a more suitable version for your plant based diet.

There are plenty of ingredients now available on the open market that offer great alternatives. Perfect for use in some recipes. Many of these ingredients are perfect substitutes for some of the most needed attributes to a diet like protein or carbohydrates.

Keep it simple

Another amazing tip to keep in mind is to keep your meal planning as simple as possible. Especially at the beginning. It can be hard to overwhelm yourself too much with over complicated recipes. It can be as simple as making sure you get everything you need on the plate. It can be quite a change to go for this lifestyle change overnight, so don’t make things harder on yourself. As the weeks go by you can then look into changing some of the meals and trying new processes and cooking. However, keeping it simple doesn't mean sticking with the same things. This is where boredom and lack of motivation could play a big part. Try and vary your diet as much as possible. A varied and simple diet at the beginning will keep things into perspective. Making you much more likely to stick with it.

Get the whole family involved

It will never be easy to stick to a diet or lifestyle choice if you are surrounded with people that are not following it with you. While you can’t force people to have the same way of thinking as yourself, you could try and encourage them to get involved. Even if for certain mealtimes. This is where trying new recipes could help you. You would benefit from the extra support you receive, and it could help in other ways in regards to health for the whole family.

Have a positive mindset

The best advice would be to remain positive throughout the process. A positive mindset will keep everything in perspective. If you struggle with a negative thought process, it may seem impossible to change that habit. But it can be done. It’s about actively turning a negative thought into a positive one. So if you find yourself feeling a little low about your progress or not seeing many benefits for the effort you have put in, turn it into a positive. Look back at what you have achieved, and how far you have come. Before you know it, you could be doing this without needing to think about it. A positive mindset can change things around for you.

Think of others way you can transform your life

Finally, while you are in the process of changing your lifestyle, you could consider other ways you can change things up. This might mean increasing the amount of water you drink each day. Providing you with many benefits. You may also want to become more active in your daily life. This could be as simple as walking more.

I hope this has made you more aware of how to get started with your new vegan lifestyle.

Multi-Purpose Stainless Steel Grill Rack

For the past two months, I have been neglecting to cook regularly because of our  schedule of doing renovation the new home that we bought  and packing our stuff.  Moving is exciting but at the same time  it comes with stress as well.  Having said that, we  are guilty of going to the fast food lately and getting our food there  instead of  cooking at home.  I don't like it because not only it is not budget-friendly, it is also not very healthy.  Now that we have moved, I am starting to   go back to cooking our meals again.

I am also excited to use my new  kitchen tools and gadget  just like this  multi-purpose stainless steel grill Rib Roast Rack that I got from Cavetools. It's a unique 2-in-1 design that gets the job done without needing multiple tools .  This is great for cooking ribs, roasts, chickens, turkeys, hams and more!  I can finally  try to make a turkey here at the new home for the Thanksgiving.
If you want your  ribs to cook to perfection, this is the tool for you.  You can professionally cook  the ribs  the way you want it.  With the spacer bars, it a allow the convection heat to evenly cook  5 perfect ribs.  I love that it is dishwasher safe which makes the cleanup a breeze.  It has a thick stainless steel construction that ensure a  long lasting durability
And look how it holds even the other foods!  This is what we had  for the 4th of July.  I was planning on roasting a whole chicken but I did not have time to buy the ingredients I need since I am still busy unpacking, so I just grab whatever I have in the fridge.  I grilled some porkchops,  boiled some corn on a cob and  sliced some water melons for dessert.  It's not  red,  white, and blue but it definitely was yummy!
