Egg Rolls or Lumpia - Project 365 # 6

The burritos and Daddy and other  family members like lumpia so I make sure  to make some for each occasion.  For some making lumpia is a lot of work because you have to do different steps.  I enjoyed  making it especially if Ms,. Burrito is helping me make it because its a fun bonding between us.
As I have mentioned before, I  am not good in following direction on recipes.  I always alter some of the ingredients.  I love  putting  bell peppers (it gives a special aroma to it), carrots and celery are my regular ones, I sometimes use sayote squash if I have some in  my refrigerator, and of course the  ginger, onion and garlic.
Now I can just put  the veggies in my food processor to make it quicker but I always chop it  one by one.  I feel like, the more effort I put into it, the more tasty it gets hahaha.  It's weird but that's what I feel.  I also love seeing all the  colorful ingredients in a tray so that's another thing why I chopped them up with a knife.
Here's Ms. Burrito enjoying to  brown the ground beef.
She's also in charge of  peeling off the  lumpia wrapper one by one, she love that.    I only let her roll the lumpia a couple of times because she's messy lol.
ow, let's munch on some crispy lumpia.  Some people love the shanghai one but I love  how I do mine as it is filled with veggies.
January 6, 2011:

  • Laundry is my chore today.  I usually do laundry three times a week and it's always  5 loads.  Mr. Burrito  just love changing clothes, whenever she drop a liquid in his shirt or  just a little  food or something, he needs to change as he feels so dirty.
  • Mr. Hubby went to  my BIL's garage to help Jim with something and they will proceed in his house to finish the bathroom.
  • I will make some ginataan today as Mr. Hubby is craving for it.

One of our favorite finger foods! Tastes better when prepared with the kids...so long as no finger is dirty while doing it lol :D

Wow, that was a wonderful entry for the Project 365. You and your little missy really love to cook as a form of bonding activity. I love the smile of Rylie while she was preparing the lumpia ingredients. Your lumpia is so unique because it combines the features of fried lumpia and lumpiang shanghai. I'm sure your lumpia taste so delicious and yummy. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.
