AppleFest

The school has celebrated the Johnny Appleseed Day sometime last week and the kids had fun. My kids loves apples so when they saw the AppleFest stand showcasing different kinds of apples  at Walmart, we bought some.

Happy happy Pink Saturday. I made an apple pie today and the house smells wonderful from the spices! Our favorite apples haven't shown up at the Farmer's Markets or grocery stores yet. We love winesap. They are so juicy and crisp! xo

Our church sponsors an Applefest every fall with apples from the western part of Virginia. They have Fuji, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Red Delicious, and several others. My favorite apple is the Braeburn, which the church doesn't get. I love your photo of the apple display. Makes my mouth water just thinking about those crisp, sweet apples.
