Sisig Recipe- P365 # 104

I mentioned in my previous post that I tried to make sisig, so here it is.  I found a sisig mix at an oriental store so I thought of trying it.
I used regular meat because hubby doesn't like the  parts of the pork  that is use regularly on  sisig.  It was delicious though, I made it spicy too.  Here's a  simple recipe.

  • 1 lb pork
  • Three thai peppers or any kind of  spicy chilis
  • scallion, chopped
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • black pepper
  • a pack of sisig mix
  • 2 tbs of coconut  oil
  • 1/2 cup of water
  1. Prepare the meat.   You can boil it, fry it, or grill it.  Then sliced it into small bits.
  2. Chopped the shallots and  scallions.
  3. Pour the  sisig mix into a 1/2 cup of water to dissolve it.
  4. When all the ingredients are  done.  Heat the pan and add the coconut oil.
  5. Add the meat, cook it for  2 minutes.  Add the shallots and peppers, mix it with the meat for about a minute.
  6. Add the  dissolved  sisig mix.  Cook for another 5 minutes.  Turn off the  heat then add the scallions and sprinkle some black pepper.
  7. Add two scoops of it on top of your steamed rice and enjoy!  Left over is good for pizza topping.
April 14, 2011:

  • Hubby  drove Ms. Burrito to school then he will proceed to the Honda garage for our car maintenance check.
  • I am making bacon for breakfast. Also made a pot of tea, want some?
  • It will be warm today so  we might be out  of the house the whole time.I just got done trimming my rose bush in front of our house.   The thorns poked me so many times
  • Hubby threw the twigs in the nearby woods.
Thanks  for dropping by everyone!

Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
