Corn and Crab Soup - P365 # 212

We found some good looking corn at Walmart and it was on sale for $.18 each, what a steal. I boiled them and we ate some of it. I made the left over into a crab and corn soup. To add a little twist, I added some freshly picked young bitter melon leaves from my garden.
Making  this is very easy, all you need is shallot, olive oil, corn, egg, crab meat, and water.  Just saute saute the shallot, followed y the other ingredients and you will have a  tasty soup.

I love bagging a bargain - when I shop I usually go at 5.30pm - just as the food is being reduced. Always love a good soup. Do you have any recipes for monkfish? I have some in the freezer.

It's the season for corn on the cob and we are loving it! Corn chowder is also a favorite in the winter. Your recipe looks yummy!

Any dish made with corn is a winner. This one with the addition of crab must have been quite delicious.

I completely lost my last comment. It vanished into then air and of course I have to stop and think as I was also reading chats from two friends. lol I love corn. Have you ever tried it in your pancakes? We used to eat them while growing up and called the corn fritters.

I like corn soup, but I've never tried it with crab. Think I give it a go!

The kids seemed to love your corn and crab soup. I was just wondering what was the effect of the bittermelon leaves on the soup. Sili leaves would have been a better alternative for a tastier soup. Bittermelon leaves or even malunggay leaves are good for munggo. That is just my opinion, hehehe. God bless you all always.
