Gluten-Free Sandwich Bread

When we were still in Korea, my husband  got me this bread maker as a other's day gift.  It has been  5 years since I got it but I never used it till this year.  Don't get me wrong, I love  being in the kitchen and I love cooking but baking is something that I am not fond of.  I don't like the measuring, the  longer period of time of  making dough rise, and all that messy stuff lol.  So what made me use it this year?  Wel, I got  this box of  gluten-free pantry sandwich bread mix from Glutino so I thought of   using  the bread maker.
The mix  included a  packet of yeast.  I only added:

  •  1 3/4 cups of milk
  • 4 tbsp of melted butter
  • 2 large eggs.
I just  put everything in the bread maker and  the machine it did it's magic.  I had to open the lid during the first kneading cycle to help  mixing the dough using a rubber spatula though but  other than that, the machine did all the work.
The bread was very densed but tasted very good.  It smells  heavenly too when  it was  baking.
This bread was so good especialy after it was  freshly baked.  My daughter sampled it right away when she arrived from school
It was a perfect match  for the 15 bean soup that I prepared that day! Check out the recipe through the link.
It is so nice that there are healthy options like this.  My daughter and I  aren't fond of bread  that  we buy at the store, it is usually for the  husband and son's consumption but when we have baked bread, that's a different story.

There is NOTHING like homemade bread. I love it warm right out of the oven with some melted butter. Yum!

I have never made homemade bread, and I'm sure making a kind that is gluten free would be a challenge. Thanks for sharing!

That looks really good! I remember a time when gluten-free bread would have been a hard tasteless loaf of blah.

Homemade bread is the best. Years ago I would make bread (no bread machine) and the kneading was so relaxing. You've inspired me to find that old recipe.

One of the things that I find frustrating about gluten free bread is it tends to be just too dense for my liking. Thankfully I'm getting used to it and enjoying my bread machine. I'll have to try the Glutino brand mix!

Where can I find that bread-maker? I need one for my apartment. While this is the first time I've heard about Glutino, I like the convenience of being to prepare my own bread & knowing that it's surely gluten-free.

I am a big fan of home made bread, I used to have it a lot but I don't have home made bread maker no more. I always loved the classic banana and chocolate chip bread, it is so delicious!

We have tried a variety of gluten free breads and a lot of them tend to be thick, dense and heavy. This looks like it could be a great option to what I have found in the past.

We've just started using this mix as our 2 year old has Celiac Disease but will eat 4 sandwiches a meal if you let him. The bread machine makes it so simple.
