Baklava #A-Spice-A-Day#19

One of my husband's favorite dessert is baklava.  He said that he had this first when he was  in the Navy  tour in Asian countries.  Baklava is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey. The one that we bought from the store is not  really that great.  It was way too greasy and I don't like the chocolate they drizzled on top of them.  I like the one with nuts in it though.

A Spice A Day #19

  • We visited my FIL and stayed there  for a while.
  • We watched Jack Reacher when we came back home via Netflix.
  • I made some chicken fajita (as requested) for dinner.
  • Thanks to my lovelies  for doing the dishes while I was busy  writing some reviews.  All of them are now in bed and I am the night owl who can't go to bed  early.  I tried going to bed early  but I just laid there, I couldn't fall asleep.
