Harvest - P365 # 242

These are just some of the harvest I have in my garden.  I have tons of cherry tomatoes.  Do you want some?
August 31, 2011:
  • Hooray, it's the last day of the month. BER month is here, I can almost hear the Christmas  song, only if I am  in the Philippines, I miss home!
  • Mr. Burrito did a  good progress in writing  the numbers today, he was proud and so am I!
  • I am  on my last load of doing laundry.
  • I made some  bread pizza using the french bread, hubby  loved it!
  • The construction team finally   put the beams  on the other side of the porch.  Can't wait till this is over, I miss having our  garage to get into the house.  It's a lot easier especially when we do grocery shopping.
  • Alrighty, need to  finish folding the clothes.

Wow, ang dami mong harvest sa vegetable patch mo. I love the ampalaya, it's good for my diabetes. I have a yummy recipe for you for your tomatoes.

1 kilo ripe tomatoes- sliced
1 pc. onion
1 small pc or 5 to 6 ears of garlic
1 tbsp patis or toyo
1 egg beaten thoroughly
1 tbsp cooking oil for sauteing

Saute the onion and garlic
Add the 1 kilo sliced tomatoes
Saute well pressing the tomatoes until all are tender
When the sauteed tomatoes are no longer lumpy, add 1 tbsp patis or toyo
Then add 1 beaten egg to the sauteed tomatoes
Stir well until the egg has thoroughly mixed with the tomatoes.
Serve hot with your favorite fried fish or longganisa

This dish was served to me in Angeles, Pampanga and I really relished the taste and I have been cooking it ever since. The tomatoes have lots of lycopene that are good against heart disease, hypertension and cancer because they contain anti oxidant properties.

Kung malapit lang kami sa inyo ay hihingi ako nang maraming tomatoes. Nakaka indulge lang ako sa tomato dish na ito kapag summer dito at mura ang kamatis. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

Wow...I also love to grow veggies in my garden but I'm not successful. Your veggies looks nice. Are you using some fertilizer? I admire your creative hands with gardening and looking after your kids. Keep it up! :)
