Mango and Strawberry

My Burritos  has their own preferences with fruits if given a choice.  Ms. Burrito  prefers Mango over  strawberry  and the Mister  is the opposite.  However, Ms. Burrito would eat strawberry if mango isn't available but Mr. Burrito isn't fond of mangoes.

  • We visited my FIL after church yesterday then we  went to the  marland heights  park before we went home.
  • We went to DMV today, I planned to renew my driver's license  even if  I still have until next year before it expires.  The address on my  card is the former address that we have so it conflicts  the  new home address that we have.  I did not  accomplish it though because they have a new set of requirements that I have to  submit so maybe I'll comeback sometime this week.
  • I am down to the last load of doing laundry.
  • Hubby and the kids are having their night time walk, I did not go as I want to get done with the laundry before bed time.
  • We visited FIL this morning after our DMV trip.

  • I am happy that I finally got to talked to my mother even if  for a very short period of time  last night.  The signal  in their place is very weak so it is hard for me to call.  It did not last very long but at least I got to hear her voice.
  • Hubby mowed our yard today.    I t is almost the month of May but the weather is so cold.  I tried to do some gardening today but my hand got so numb so I quit.
  • We visited my FIL after we went to DQ.

#CoronaRita Margarita

My very first experience of  dining at Chili's was when we were still  in South Korea.  We went to a  three-day getaway in Osan where the  Air Force base is.  Inside the  base, there was a big Chili establishment  and we  had our first night  dinner there.  It was a special  occasion for us as we celebrated  our  wedding anniversary in Osan.  What could be more special than celebrating  the occasion with  a bottle of wine right?  But with two kids in tow, my husband and I couldn't do that besides we are not really drinkers so we celebrated it with full belly.  If you are celebrating something  momentous in your life, Chili is one of the places I would recommend to eat.  They have a very good  selection of food and you can try the CoronaRita at Chili's.  CoronaRita is made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and Coronita.  The first and last time I have ever tasted Jose Cuervo was during my college years.  My friends  teased  me because I got tipsy just for a little drink of Margarita lol.  As I have said I am not a drinker so when I do drink, just  a little  will  knock me out.  It's nice to have a drink  once in a while though, it is good for your health.  As long as you do it in moderation, it is okay.

As you can see in this photo, our daughter love the Caesar Salad there.  I love their Fajita Trio very much!  I would love to  go to Chili's and  eat dinner there one of these days.

Home Made Burgers

I mentioned on my previous post that I prepared home made burger patties.  We  love Hawaiian rolls so we always have it in our kitchen, I used it to make mini burgers.

  • I am so frustrated that I can't get through the phone, I have been trying to call my  Mom through their cellphone but the signal is very weak. Grrrr.. I miss  my mother and it's so frustrating when you can't even talk to her even  for a short time.

Norture and Enhance Your Love of Gardening

We recently  added a little bit of curb appeal to our front  house.  We have a newly built  porch so we wanted to  put something that would compliment the porch.  We  bought some white rocks and some  plants  and  planted it in front.  I was very satisfied of what we did  especially that we only spend  a bit of money  compared to what we could have spent if we hired a professional landscaper.    I used some  plant food  in front but  I wanted to use something different at our vegetable garden at our backyard.  I haven't  done anything yet  at the back except  add some  mulch.

I don't really used  chemical based   products  for my vegetable garden but Whitney Farms® has a full line of 100% natural plant foods and organic soil  which  I like.  I have two  lovely kids, two dogs, and two bunnies so I don't want to use   anything that could harm them in anyway especially at our backyard where they frequently spend a lot of time during  warm days.  An organic plant food would be the perfect product that I could use for our vegetable garden.  According to the product description, Whitney Farms organic plant food has no manure odor  which is great because  last year I was kinda taken a back with the  product we used because it smelled like pure manure.  I want to use a different one this time so I might try this.  There is a $3 coupon off that you can get if you want to try this product  to nurture and enhance your love of gardening.

Fried Rice Balls

I made  these rice balls the other night for dessert.  I mixed the glutinous  flour with  yam and  jack fruit, and  milk.  Fried it in vegetable oil and rolled it into   sugar confectionery.  Every time I miss my mother, I tend to cook those foods/dessert that she always makes for us when we were growing up.  Glad hubby and the kids loves it too.

State Line Resto

There are friends and relatives who told us that the State Line Restaurant is a good and affordable place to eat. So on our way home from my husband's school, we tried it. The food and prices were alright but the big turn off for me is the smell of the cigarette. I was suffocating as we entered the place. They offered us a non-smoking area but it wasn't desirable at all. There were sack of potatoes near the table where we sit and it wasn't clean either in the room. That would probably our first and last time to eat there.
