Back-to-School #Gluten-Free Goodies

I can't believe school break is over and  the new school year kicked in already.  My son wasn't very thrilled in going back to school but my daughter is.  This school year, my son wants to eat school lunch on Fridays only but my daughter only picked one lunch for the month of September. That means, I will have to  prepare lunches  almost everyday for these two but  that's fine with me because I enjoy doing it for them.
I am glad that aside from fruits and veggies, there is a  variety of gluten-free snacks that I can pack for them for school.  I personally like the crispy cookie thins that  Glutino have. They have  different flavors too including chocolate chips, cranberry orange and double chocolate chips.
My daughter and husband's preference  is the chocolate vanilla creme.  They are delicious!  They siad that it is better than Oreos.
Their crackers are really good too.  I love  eating it with soup. they are  delicious.  The rosemary and oilve oil chips are great with salsa.  Yum!
The toaster pastry doesn't last very long at my pantry because  that is my son's favorite snack after school.    He told me to buy more so he could have it in his lunch bag.
The back to school gluten-free goodies  helps me  pack healthy  snacks for my kiddos.
We had our friend's daughter for two days this week as there is no bus and her parents are at work so I picked her up with my kids.  Aside from  playing games, I also engage them in baking so the brownie mix from Glutino was perfect.
My daughter showed "Bumble Bee" how to make  brownie.  I used to baby sit her when she was a baby, I can't believe she is now in first grade, time really flies!
She was really excited to bake with my daughter as  she said, she is not allowed to bake at their house hehehe.
After doing their homework and playing games, the brownies are perfect for  snacks.
This is my  children's lunches for today.  My daughter  is very independent  so she packed her own lunch last MOnday but I told her  that she doesn't have to wake up early just o that because I can do it.  Glad she agreed.
My kids are not really fond of pretzels for snack so I told them that they can bring these two bags to their teacher.  Their teacher sent a  thak you note when hey returned home yesterday.

Lemonade is a Perfect Drink After Eating Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Summer heat is getting so intense that's why it is very important to hydrate.  My daughter  does not like water but she loves lemonade so that is my best option in getting her hydrated.  We buy a lot of lemons every summer and make one or two pitchers of lemonade everyday, the kids love to drink it.  It is also a perfect drink after eating  Jif peanut butter granola bars.
Lemonade is not only a refreshing drink, but it also  helps you to stay calm and cool. Lemons have its many nourishing elements like vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin A, vitamin E, folate, niacin thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, phosphorus and protein.  You can't go wrong in serving lemonade to your kids.
On another note, Shoplet is known for their huge selection of Office supplies but once in a while they do have some yummy snacks.  I remember when they sent me   the Java Me UP, my husband and  daughter loved it so much that we keep looking  at the store if they are available, but unfortunately, we never found it  in the local store here.  This time, they sent us the  JIF  peanut butter granola bars.  It's a perfect snack for us except my son.  He got allergic to peanut when he was a baby so when he was  a little older  we told him about it and he never liked anything  with peanut since then.  The doctor told me to  test if he is outgrown with the allergy but he  has nothing to do with peanuts, he hates even the smell of it.
These Jif peanut butter granola bars is so good.  My daughter loves it and my husband also love taking it  at work for his snacks.  The delicious and creamy peanut butter comes together with chewy granola for an irresistible snack bar.  I am sure you are going to like this once you try it.  My husband is  in the Biggest Loser  program that  his company is sponsoring so he is glad that these peanut butter-packed bar is a good source of protein and fuels him up at work.  It truly satisfy his sweet and salty cravings at the same time with a yummy peanut butter granola bar.

Each box contains 15 bars.  You can buy it for $20.87 per box which is  fair considering the taste and the health benefits that you get out from it.  See, my husband lunch bag always have a bar or two  reserve for his   break time.
Shoplet is really a one-stop online place to shop for  Cleaning supplies , office supplies,  Medical supplies,  Office Furniture, and more.  Thanks again Shoplet!

Sushi Cravings Satisfied!

When we had our vacvation in Virginia last month, my husband was craving for some sushi so we  looked at Google what restaurants they have nearby.  We found this Mongolian Peking Restaurant.  He fot excited because he used to eat Mongolian BBQ  when he was still in Guam and he used to tell me how good it was.
The setting inside  was beautiful, they have so many Aisan decors.
He wasn't impressed with their mongolian good but really satisfied  with the sushi.  They have plenty of selection so he tried quite a bit.
He wanted me to try sushi but for some reason, I really have no  desire for it.
We met a Filipina who work there and she suggested  some food that we  might like.  My daughter love some of the Asian  sea food and their soup.  It was nice because they gave military discount there.  We were surprised of how affordable it was to eat there.
I remember when we wwere in Orlando Florida, the cost of food there was expensive.  We went to a Chinese restaurant there, the food was okay butthething I found odd was that they charge a mandatory gratuity fee.    I mean we always give a tip when we eat out but that was our first time encountering a mandatory  one lol.
When we came home, he was  still thinking of the sushi that he had in Virfinia so we  went to Sesame Grill in Steubenville when we had our mini date.  Our former neighbors invited the kids for a movie night so we had the chance to go out.
