Beef with Mushroom and Red Pepper - P365 # 90

I made some beef and mushroom yesterday. The recipe calls for a leek but since I did not have it and I don't have a clue what it is (lol), I used what is in my fridge instead. I cooked this using the Lee Kum Kee mix and it was delish.
I added scallions, red hot pepper, and shallots to it too.  Just fry the  meat first then saute it with the other ingredients before you add the sauce/mix.
March 31, 2011:
  • We are heading to my BIL's home  to see how he is coping up with his illness.  Then we will proceed to see Dad.
  • Hubby is craving for some  chicken wings so we are going to the store to buy some so I could make  some for  dinner.

Are you up to the challenge on posting a photo a day?

leeks look like spring onions but bigger.:p but you have scallions na rin, di ba kamag-anak yon ng leek?*LOL*

I love beef but beef is so expensive in the Philippines. I just can't afford it. Your beef looks like caldereta in the picture and it looks so yummy. Leek I think is related to onions. It looks like onion stalk. They use it in soups and stew. Your FIL's illness have been going on for a long time already. What is his illness? I will pray for his divine healing. By the stripes of Jesus he is healed. Amen. Thanks for the usual yummy post. God bless you all always.

Hi Kuya Mel, it is not my FIL that has an illness now but my brother in law.
