The Cost of Beef

With the high cost of beef these days, we only buy it when it is on sale.  We  are starting to substitute it with other kinds of meat.   My husband loves beef so  once in a while I make sure to find the ones that fits our budget.
One of the  many beef dishes that both my kids and husband love is the Kahlua Braised beef .  My husband bought a kahlua beer but he never drunk it so I started using it for cooking.
Here are the ingredients.  You can check out the recipe here.
My daughter love mushrooms so I  always incorporate it every chance I get.
This dish is  so good to eat with  newly baked rolls or in our family, with rice.

That looks delicious--kind of like a beef stew which I happen to like. Yes, Beef is getting expensive and I also only buy it when it is a decent price which is not all that often unfortunately.

This dish we call it in the Philippines Beef Menudo. The pictures looks delicious and mouth watering. I agree sis, beef is very expensive. Last week I crave for grilled beef and paid $19 something for less than two pounds only.

It's quite similar to our Beef Kaldereta, minus the kahlua beer. Yummy!

I've never had Kalua Braised beef before, I've actually never cooked with beer besides when I do it with crab legs. I will have to give your recipe a try.

I'm not a fan of red meat, but my husband is and he begs for me to make stews and stuff all the time. But this recipe, I feel, is so worth making!!! And an excuse to by Kahula? Yes please!!! I wish I was having this for dinner tonight!

I love my beef.. and not so much chicken.. but we're finding that we just end up eating a ton of carbs when we don't have beef. i'm sure this is delicious. i love cooking with beer, but never tried with kahlua.

Hahhaahah, I'm thinking of my hubby going to get his beer when he's in the mood and me telling him I used it for cooking. :) That made me smile. You've got all kinds of delicious from it though, this sounds great.
