Orange Layers

I like this three-layered orange, quite unique.

February 8, 2012:

  • Did laundry and some reading  lessons with Mr. Burrito.
  • I made some pork chops, Asian style using the Lee Kum Kee  sauce for dinner.
  • We visited my FIL after eating dinner and got done folding the clothes.  I feel bad  because he  said that he has been waiting for us but  he's glad that we came even if it's late.  He wanted me to make  stuffed pepper but thought that we won't come anymore so he made it.

Hi there, I would have emailed you but could find no adress! No it is not a basement. It is the end barn where once a family lived. They used to live in the bottom part which is the same floor level as the rest of the house, the upstairs was where they stored the hay for the farm animals. Remember we live in rural France and our small hamlet was only a farming community many years ago. Our house actually housed 3 families originally and at that stage there would be no toilet facilities, and only a sink for all washing. The building is well over 200 years old but we have no definite date. We removed the ceiling ( where the hay had been stored) allowing the the whole room to go up to the roof, we then just put in insulation and a new ceiling. Obviously we changed the earth floor as well to tiles. Wood was too expensive!. Hope this makes sense. Diane
